Would you have it the same or different? Do you think it was too sudden or too short OR just right? What DO YOU think?!? -Katniss101

I think it was WAY to sudden. I hate that it just ends. IT really needs to be longer. And so does the epilogue. I like the ending (besides: Finnick, Boggs and Prim) But yeah

The ending was just perfect! They win the war against Capitol and you still don't know if this is good or bad. War just brings pain to everybody, to the winners and to the loosers. Death and pain. And altough I'm team Gale, I just love that Katniss finally choose Peeta.

Personally, I feel that she went to far into the future. JK Rowlin couold do hat because we had seven books to get to know the charater involved. We still did'nt know alot about alot of characters at the end of the mokingjay. I was not a huge fan of the ending but overall I liked the book. I ish she had lef something for us to wonder about though. Sometimes it is best for the authore to leave her ending up to contemplation by the readers.

it went way too fast! it ended how i wanted things to turn out but it was still kind of sad. i think that the part where it says "but there are much worse games to play" is confusing. WHAT DOES IT MEAN!!!!!??? there has to be another book!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would have Gale come back..I'm team Peeta, but Gale and Katniss were bestfriends...I also wouldnt have made Prims death be possiby Gale's fault.. Overall, I would have made the ending happier. Peeta would have FULLY regained his old self back. its too sad

The ending was so. . .conflicting!! I mean, emotionally. I was happy for Katniss and Peeta, but sad for everyone else who ended up all alone (Gale, Johanna, Annie). I just wish it would've never ended!! I wanted to read more of the details of Peeta and Katniss' life together, like the proposal and how he convinced her to have kids. I also would like to have had more closure on the other characters. Did Delly move back to D. 12? Did Gale ever find love again? I need to know!!!!

I had a very hard time with the ending. So much so that I rewrote it for my best friend as a birthday present. 8 chapters, 100 (novel) pages and a tear-inspiring wedding later it turned out perfectly. It was fun and brought me a lot of closure. Over 50 people have a copy in their hands now and it has made me happy to see how enthusiastically recieved it is. I am new to the fanfiction world...where is the best place to post it?

i love the end of the hugger games to daeth!!! when i am facing somthing difficalt or need a bost i read the last chapter and epalog to help me feel beter. i belive that if it was any longer it would be disloyal to the books. i love the way it ends. saying lifes not perfect. saying things go wrong. but there is alwas hope and beauty. that things get better.

Peeta's Gurl - I am glad that there are people out there with your same opinion. And I feel the same way about the disloyalty issue. That is why in my book I do not change the ending really, I just extend it. To me the original closure was minimal: I got the feeling that Peeta's feelings were more dominated by uncertainty and a slight resentment than with a longing and love for Katniss. I give them the next few months of the story...redevelopment of their feelings for eachother and a desire to be together, closure with Gale , her mother and Haymitch and a spectacular proposal and wedding (Seam style this time, not Capitol). The only major "change" I established was a deviation from the epilogue. The original gave me a feeling that this incredibly strong girl was left too shaken and filled with residual dread and nightmares to carry on and enjoy the fruits of her labors. My line that establishes this is in reference to her children - "They will see a mother who was more afraid to raise them in the existing world than to lead an entire nation into revolution. The nightmares have mostly left me now and with them goes the final hold of a corrupt Capitol." It's about hope and moving on and even the few people that liked the original ending still have enjoyed mine. It was not about disloyalty; more so, it was about being too loyal to the characters and it is not surprising that 7 out of the 10 people who responded to this post felt the same way. If no one would like to read it, that's fine. It still makes me smile

Just as a side note, in addition to the above statements, I am posting the cover I designed for my book. I printed it in bound form on blurb.com and it is a beautiful edition to the other 3

i think the ending went too fast i mean its so confusing and sad; like peeta & katniss's children play on a graveyard in the meadow and prim dies. there should be a 4th book
